And so it all began...

Hi, I'm a photography and dog lover, and I'm telling you that while training my own dogs, a German Shepherd (adopted from a litter born at a friend's house) and a German Impostor (adopted from the street), 8 and 6 years old respectively as of 2025, I started taking pictures of them, and well, that's how this idea began.

I have photographed people and products since 1996. I dedicated a lot of time to social photography and industrial video. Currently, I work in public television, but my true passion is photography.

For many years, I took landscape photographs alongside and in the company of a wonderful being that a neighbor rescued from the street, a Shar-Pei mix who adopted me as soon as we met.

The rescuer told me she had been run over, took her to the vet, they stabilized her, and he christened her with the name Muñeca. He printed her bone-shaped tag on a pink collar.

Talking to her, I took her by her jowls below her ears and gently squished her face, bringing out all her leathery wrinkles hidden in that blonde street dog's skin and said to her, "You don't have a doll's face, you have a Roman lettuce face."

So we decided her name would be "Lechuga" (Lettuce) from now on. She seemed to like the idea because from the first day I called her Lechuga, she went everywhere with me.

She was a mixed-breed dog with a scar on her throat. I don't want to imagine the conditions she was in before she escaped, because it's common for abused dogs and animals to run away at the first opportunity they find to free themselves, and disoriented, they quickly cross streets, avenues, roads, and highways without any caution, ending up very hurt.

That's why it's necessary to care for them as part of our human nature: to adopt those without homes and to contribute whenever possible to other human beings who are dedicated to helping.

The proposal is to build a community. A new story begins here in honor of that Lechuga who lived to old age and enjoyed life with a large family where everyone loves her forever.
