Curriculum: Basic Obedience Dog Training

Here is an introductory overview of our dog education program structure.

Module 1: Fundamentals and Communication

Objective: Establish a solid foundation of communication and mutual understanding between owner and dog.

 1. Introduction and Basic Concepts 
 Philosophy of positive reinforcement training. 

- The importance of socialization (for puppies and adults). 
- The owner's role as leader/guide (not domination, but management). 

 2. Canine Learning 
- How a dog learns (classical and operant conditioning).
- Correct use of a marker (e.g., clicker or word like "Yes!").
- Types and hierarchy of rewards (food, play, petting).

3. Tools and Handling 
- Equipment selection: leash, collar, harness.
- Correct techniques for putting on and taking off the leash. 
- Importance of routine, directed play, and rest. 

 4. Initial Impulse Control | - Self-control exercises with food.
